Description

Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid 17th century, with alterations made in the mid 18th century and early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick, some limestone rubble, and some render, topped with pantile roofs featuring brick coped gables, gable stacks, and a single ridge stack at the rear. The building has a T-plan and is two stories high with a three-bay front that includes a coursed limestone rubble and brick plinth, along with decorated eaves.

The central doorway features an overlight, a brick wedge lintel, and a partially glazed door, flanked by single glazing bar sash windows. Above the doorway, there are two similar windows that flank another single glazing bar sash. All windows have brick wedge lintels, with the one over the door displaying a small ogee arch on the underside. The rear elevation has two 17th-century windows with brick drip moulds. The north gable end has a brick band beneath the render. These architectural features indicate that the house was originally built in the 17th-century Fen Artisan Mannerist style, which complements Aslackby Manor House. Additionally, there is a 19th-century lean-to with a slate roof on the north side.
