Description

No. 52 Scotgate is a building dating from 1671, located on the north side of Scotgate. It is constructed of coursed rubble and has two storeys with a steep slate roof. The building features a modern brick chimney. On the first floor, there is one window with a 19th-century chamfered wood lintel and a casement. The ground floor includes a four-panel door and a sash window, both with a lintel. The shop front, also from the 19th century, has plain pilasters and a half-glazed door. The gable side is rough-rendered. This building is part of a group with Rock House, No. 51 and No. 52.
