Description

The Crown and Woolpack public house dates to the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is built of coursed rubble with stone slate roofing and features a mansard roof with two stone stacks at the gable ends, incorporating three dormers. The front has stone quoins and window dressings; the windows are set in chamfered reveals with stone lintels and rusticated stone surrounds. There are three windows on the upper floor, with double-hung sashes and glazing bars. The ground floor has two three-light public house windows. A six-panel door is set in a chamfered reveal, accompanied by a rectangular fanlight. The building is part of a group and is located near the Rick House at numbers 51 and 52.
