Description

This is a milepost dating from the late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and painted white with black detailing. The south side is inscribed with "To Billingboro 5 miles," while the north side has "To Bourn 5 miles," creating a sharp projecting angle. At the top, there is an inverted triangle inscribed with "Dunsby Parish," and the milepost has a tall base with a projecting angle. The entire structure is cast with black painted bands that define each face.
