Description

This milepost, dating from the late 19th century, is made of cast iron and is painted white with black detailing. The north side is inscribed with "To Bourne 6 miles," while the south side reads "To Billingboro 4 miles." These inscriptions meet at a sharp projecting right angle. At the top, there is an inverted triangle inscribed with "Rippingale Parish." The milepost stands on a tall base with a projecting angle, and the entire structure features black painted bands that define its faces.
