Description
North View Farmhouse is a farmhouse with an attached barn, dating from the early 18th century, early 19th century, mid 19th century, and 20th century. It is constructed of colour-washed red brick and limestone rubble, topped with pantile roofs that feature a single gable stack and decorated eaves over two mid 19th century bays to the east. The house is two storeys high and has four bays, with two taller early 19th century bays on the left. The doorway on the right has a bracketed pediment, a reeded doorcase, an overlight, and a partially glazed, panelled door. To the left of the doorway is a single glazing bar sash window with a segmental head. On the right, there are two 20th century two-light casements, both with segmental heads. Above, there are two 20th century casements, with the left one having two lights and the right one having three, both also with segmental heads. There is a glazing bar sash window to the left, featuring a wooden lintel. Attached to the left is an 18th-century rubble barn, which has a doorway to the right with a wooden lintel and a plank door, along with two slit breather openings to the left and a single shuttered opening above.
