Description

The Old Rectory is a house that was originally built as a rectory in the early 19th century, with some 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of red brick with painted ashlar dressings and features a slate roof with rendered, coped gables and gable stacks. The building has two storeys and a three-bay front. The central doorway is set within a brick porch that has a plain doorcase and a panelled door. There is a blind semi-circular headed opening on the east return. The doorway is flanked by long 20th-century glazing bar casements, with three plain sash windows above. All the windows are adorned with brick wedge lintels and raised ashlar keystones.
