Description
The stable block at Dunsby Hall is a late 18th-century structure that also includes a carriage house. It is built from red brick and features pantile roofs with brick-coped and tumbled gables, decorative eaves, a single projecting gable stack, and a single ridge stack. The building has an L-shaped plan and is a single storey with a garret.
The west front has six bays, with a doorway on the right that has a segmental head and double stable doors. This doorway is flanked by single partly shuttered windows, also with segmental heads. There is an ashlar drinking trough against the wall to the left of the doorway. Beyond this, there is another doorway with a segmental head and a plank door. To the left of this doorway is a partly shuttered window with a segmental head, and beyond it is another doorway with a small window immediately to the left, both sharing the same wooden lintel, leading to another plank door.
To the left, the carriage house projects westward and has a south front with two large openings that have double plank doors and wooden lintels, as well as a single small glazing bar sash to the right, also with a wooden lintel. The westward gable end features a two-light casement with a segmental head.
