Description

Dunsby Hall is a house dating from around 1800, with later 19th-century alterations. Constructed of red brick with ashlar dressings, it has double-ridge slate roofs and tall brick gable stacks, two projecting from the gables and two along the ridge. The house comprises an early 19th-century double range running east to west, with a late 19th-century gabled range extending north to south at the west end. The south front features three bays, with a further gabled bay added in the late 19th century, this section exhibiting decorated eaves. A long, canted bay window, added in the late 19th century, occupies the right-hand side of the south front, featuring double-glazed doors flanked by narrow fixed lights. Above, three glazing bar sashes are present, each with a brick wedge lintel and raised ashlar keystone. To the left of the canted bay are two more glazing bar sashes, similarly detailed. The west side of the house, dating to the late 19th century, displays three glazing bar sashes on each floor, all with ashlar wedge lintels and raised keystones.
