Description
Cornhill Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the late 18th century, with 19th-century additions. It is constructed from coursed yellow limestone rubble, featuring red brick dressings, and has a red brick roof covered with pantiles. The roof has raised brick coped tumbled gables and two brick gable stacks. The building has a two-storey, three-bay front with garrets and a brick dentillated eaves course. The central doorway is flanked by single glazing bar sash windows, and there are three similar windows on the first floor. All openings have segmental stone heads. To the left of the front is a single bay, two-storey brick addition from the early 19th century, which includes a half-glazed door and single sliding sash windows on each floor. To the right of the front and in front of it is a small single-storey brick lean-to from the 19th century.
