Description

Boontown Cottage is a cottage dating from around 1700, with alterations made in the 19th century. The structure features mud and stud walls that are cased in red brick, and it has a corrugated iron roof that has replaced the original thatch. There are two brick gable stacks. The cottage has a two-unit plan with a later store added to the rear and is a single storey with a garret. The front has two bays, each with three-light sliding sash windows, and there is a two-light garret window at the left end. A glazed lean-to partially covers the front. Inside, the cottage includes two simple chamfered beams and exposed floor joists.
