Description

Estate House, located on Main Street in Denton, is a house dating from the early 18th century with some alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed ironstone rubble and features a pantile roof with two brick gable stacks. The building has a T-plan layout and is two storeys high with a two-bay front. Each floor has two three-light glazing bar casements set under chamfered timber lintels. A slight difference in the pointing suggests that a central doorway was likely blocked up in the 19th century. On the right side, there is a later lean-to extension, and at the rear, there is a 19th-century extension. Inside, the house retains simply chamfered and stopped beams.
