Description

High House is a house dating probably from the early 18th century. It is constructed of roughly coursed ironstone rubble with a thatched roof. The house is one-and-a-half storeys high and has a two-unit plan. A central door is flanked by three-light wooden casement windows, all with chamfered timber lintels. The gables are coped, and there are brick gable end stacks. A lower extension with a pantiled roof was added in the 19th century, featuring a blocked door and a three-light window with a chamfered timber lintel.
