Description
No. 11 Church Street is a house that likely dates back partly to the 17th century and was added to or partially rebuilt in the 18th century. It is mainly constructed of coursed rubble with a stone tiled roof and has an L-shaped plan with two storeys. The shorter wing, which is probably from the 17th century, features white ashlar stone. The door located at the angle has a moulded architrave and hoodmould, and there is a single two-light window on each floor. The gable is coped and has a brick stack on a stone base. The white ashlar transitions to ironstone rubble near the angle, while the longer range is completely built of ironstone rubble. This wing has a two-unit plan with a baffle entry, featuring a door and a window to the right under a single lintel, and a two-light casement window to each floor on the left side of the door. There are two brick stacks on this section.
