Description
This is a house, dated 1660 but significantly restored, located to the southwest of High House in Braunston. It is constructed of coursed rubble with a steeply pitched stone-tiled roof. The house is 1½ storeys and has a 4-unit plan, built into a slope which raises the ground floor considerably. On the left-hand side is a shallow, canted stone bay window on a tall stem, followed by a square 4-light bay window with a King mullion. Above these are renewed 2-light dormers. The doorway is recessed within a four-centred stone arch and backs onto a chimney stack. To the right of the doorway is a 3-light wood mullioned window and a former over, alongside a datestone bearing the initials "A.T." The end bay appears to be an addition, featuring 3-light wood mullioned windows with wood lintels. Later, 19th or 20th century gable and axial chimney stacks are present.
