Description
Brook House Stables is a building primarily from the 17th century, featuring a facade that is divided into two parts. The left section consists of three bays and one and a half storeys, constructed from coursed rubble set on a white ashlar plinth. The left ground floor window has a large stone head with a stressed keystone, and there are two inserted casements and a fire window beyond it. Above, there are two dormers with catslide roofs. The right section has two bays made of white ashlar. To the left, there is a blocked door with a moulded and lugged architrave, along with a renewed window to the right. Moulded stone stacks are located at the junction of the two parts and on the right gable. The gables feature stone coping, with the left gable built up using large stepped stones.
At the rear, there is a range of stables that are two storeys high, built from coursed rubble with a stone tiled roof, and ashlar quoins and keystones at all openings.
