Description
The churchyard gateway and boundary wall at the Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul date from the early 18th century and mid 19th century, with a war memorial added around 1920. The gateway features cast iron double gates from the 19th century, which are complemented by openwork cast-iron piers and finials. To the left of the gates is an inscribed rectangular war memorial tablet topped with a wrought-iron cross. Flanking the gateway is a low ashlar wall from the 19th century, approximately 70 meters long, with coping that is topped with spiked wrought-iron railing. On the west side of the churchyard, there is an adjoining coursed squared stone wall from the early 18th century, which includes a gateway and slab coping, standing about 2.5 meters high and 30 meters long.
