BELTON & MANTHORPE SK9239 MAIN STREET, Belton 1315-0/8/52 (South East side) 21/09/79 Churchyard gateway-and boundary wall at Church of St Peter and St Paul (Formerly Listed as: VILLAGE STREET (South East side) Gate piers, gates and railings to north of church) GV II

Churchyard gateway and boundary wall, with railing and war memorial. Early C18 and mid C19, with war memorial c1920. Cast iron double gates, C19, with openwork cast-iron piers and finials. To left, an inscribed rectangular war memorial tablet topped with a wrought-iron cross. Beyond, on either side, a low ashlar wall, C19, with coping topped with spiked wrought-iron railing. Approx 70m long. On the west side of the churchyard, an adjoining coursed squared stone wall, early C18, with a gateway and slab coping. Approx 2.5m high and 30m long.
