Description
There are two gravestones located in the churchyard, positioned 4 and 9 paces from the porch on the south side of the Church of St. Thomas a Becket. These grave slabs date from the 16th century and are made of limestone ashlar. Each slab tapers towards the top and features coped tops, with the thicker ends supported by rectangular vertical panels. The southern gravestone is adorned with a carved cartouche and cabled fluting at the end, while the panel beneath it has Doric columns on either side. The other gravestone has a scrolled end and a quatrefoil design.
