Description
The building formerly occupied by T Gibson and Sons dates back to the 18th century and is located on the east side of Star Lane. It is a single storey structure with a loft, constructed from coursed rubble. The roof is made of stone slates and features a tall brick chimney on the right side.
On the right, there is a window with a stone flat arch and a rusticated ashlar surround. The ground floor has a window set in a chamfered architrave with a keystone, although it has modern glazing. Below this, there is a plain door that sits under a replaced wooden lintel, along with two ventilation grilles, one of which is located above the carriage arch to the left.
This building is included for its group value with the nearby Congregational Chapel and forms a group with No 22 Broad Street.
