Description
No 7, including a small building at the rear, is a structure that likely dates back to the 15th century or earlier. It has two storeys and is rendered, with modern ashlar on the left side. The building features a large gable with a double oversail and a 19th-century canted five-light oriel window topped with a small stone slate roof and 19th-century glazing. To the right, there is a small rectangular early 19th-century shop window, and to the left, a four-panel door is situated beneath the overhanging gable. There is a second rectangular bay to the left that has a 19th-century shop front, which extends into a hipped dormer on the second storey, featuring a 19th-century casement window and a hipped roof covered in stone slates. Inside, the walls are of medieval thickness, and there is a small building from the 17th century in poor repair at the back, which is currently used as an outhouse but was once a small hall. The interior also has three contemporary leaded windows. Nos 7 to 17 form a group.
