Description

This milepost, located on Aslackby and Bourne Road in Laughton, dates from the late 19th century. It is made of cast iron and is painted white with black detailing. The north side is inscribed with "To Bourn 6 miles," while the south side reads "To Folkingham 3 miles," creating a sharp projecting angle. At the top, there is an inverted triangle inscribed with "London 103," and above that, a rectangular plaque inscribed "Aslackby Parish." The milepost stands on a tall base with a projecting angle and features black painted bands that define each face.
