Description

This is a milepost dating from the late 19th century, located on Aslackby and Bourne Road in Laughton. It is made of cast iron, painted white with black detailing. The north side is inscribed with "Bourn 8 miles," while the south side reads "Folkingham 1 mile," creating a sharp projecting angle. The upper part features an inverted triangle inscribed with "London 105," and there is a rectangular plaque above that states "Laughton Parish." The milepost stands on a tall base with a projecting angle and has black painted bands that define each face.
