Description

This is a late 18th-century shop with an attached cottage, with later 20th-century alterations. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and has a pantile roof with decorative brick eaves and a ridge stack. It has a lobby entrance. The two-storey, four-bay front features a doorway with a wooden lintel and a partially glazed door, sheltered by a small, gabled wooden porch. To the left of the doorway is a 20th-century casement window with a wooden lintel. A doorway with a wooden lintel and a partially glazed door sits beyond, followed by a shop window with three panes and a wooden lintel. Above the shop window is a glazing bar sash window, paired with a smaller casement window to the right. Two further 20th-century glazing bar casements are found to the right, all with wooden lintels. The building is included on the list solely for its group value.
