Description

Two semi-detached houses stand on the east side of Market Place in Folkingham. They were built in the late 18th century and altered in the 20th century. The houses are constructed of colourwashed red brick, with mansard roofs covered in Collyweston slate and pantiles. The roofs have stone coped gables and a central ridge stack.

A lobby provides access to the interior. The two-storey and attic houses have a four-bay front. Two doorways now stand side-by-side where there were previously two larger doorways, each topped with a wedge lintel. The doorways have glazed panels with glazing bars. Above the doorways are two large wedge lintels. A glazing bar sash window is located to the left, while a 20th-century cross-mullion casement window is on the right. The upper floor mirrors this arrangement, with two glazing bar sashes to the left and two 20th-century cross-mullion casements to the right. All windows have narrow wedge lintels. Two flat-headed dormers are visible in the roof, with a sliding sash window to the left and a casement window to the right.
