Description

The Old Bakehouse is a former cottage and shop located on the west side of Market Place in Folkingham. It dates from the late 18th century, with alterations made in 1826 and the 20th century. The building is constructed of red brick with some ashlar dressings and features a pantile roof with decorated eaves. It is a single-storey structure with a two-bay front. On the left side, there is a glazing bar sash window with a brick wedge lintel and a raised ashlar keystone. To the right, there is a doorway with a wooden lintel and a plank door. The Old Bakehouse is attached to the north side of No 13 Market Place and is included in the listing for its group value.
