Description

4 and 6 Market Place are a farmhouse and attached cottage, dating to the 17th century and remodelled in the early 19th century. They are now two separate cottages. The building is constructed of roughly-coursed limestone rubble, with some limestone ashlar detailing. The roof is covered in collyweston tiles, with stone coped gables, red brick eaves, and two ridge stacks.

The two-storey, five-bay front features a lobby entrance. Number 4 has a doorway on the right side, with a small bracketed hood and a partially-glazed door. This doorway is flanked by single sash windows with glazing bars. Number 6 has an ashlar lintel and a panelled door to the left of the entrance, with a further sash window with glazing bars beside it. Five sash windows with glazing bars are positioned above, each with an ashlar wedge lintel.
