Description

The Grange is a notable mid-18th century house located on the north side of Pinchbeck Road. This two-storey building is constructed from local brick and features a stone-capped parapet. It has five windows, with the central window being a Venetian style. The house has wood blind holders and lacks glazing bars, except for the central window. A prominent projecting porch in Roman Ionic style includes an open modillion pediment. The entrance door consists of eight panels, four of which are glass, and is set in a panelled reveal with an attractive traceried fanlight above. There is a two-storey, one-window extension of slightly later date on the south side, along with a one-window, one-storey 19th-century extension on the north side, with two storeys behind. The Grange is part of a group that includes Nos 2 to 8 (even).
