Description

Holme Hurst is a mid-18th century building located on Post Street in Godmanchester. Originally designed with a symmetrical three-window front, the building is constructed of gault brick with red brick dressings and a tile roof. A single-window extension was later added to the north. The windows are sash windows, with glazing bars only on the upper floor. A stone porch with attached three-quarter Roman Doric columns provides access to a door featuring eight fielded panels, a rectangular light over the door, and a triglyph frieze. Number 20A has a plain, modern porch constructed of cement with pilasters.
