Description

The Holme comprises a late 18th-century south wing and a mid-to-late 19th-century north wing, designed to harmonise with the earlier structure. The south wing is three storeys high and constructed of gault brick with red brick dressings, featuring horizontal bands between the storeys. It has five windows with flush frames and glazing bars, each set under a segmental brick arch. The parapet above is a later reconstruction, topped with a cornice. The roof is not visible. The north wing is also three storeys high and built of gault brick with red brick dressings, containing a 1:3 window arrangement, with sash windows. A gable is positioned above the three central windows, covering only the two outer ones. A recessed porch, flanked by pilasters, is located on the left side. The wing has a tiled roof and substantial brick stacks. A wall on the right incorporates blank window openings and is included in the listing primarily for its group value.
