Description

Minerva Farmhouse is an early 18th-century farmhouse that was refronted in the early 19th century, with a 20th-century extension. It is constructed of red brick and has a slate roof with a single ridge stack. The left gable features tumbling and a 19th-century bargeboard. The outer walls have single giant order pilaster strips, with the one on the right indicating the extent of the original building. The eaves are dentil, and there is a dentil band at the first floor on the left three bays. The farmhouse has a lobby entry plan and is two storeys high with four bays, the rightmost being a 20th-century addition. The doorway has a part glazed and panelled door, flanked by single plain sash windows, and to the far right is a single Yorkshire sash. Above, there are two similar plain sashes with a small plain sash to the far right. All openings are set under segmental arches, and there are four circular tie plates on the left three bays. The left gable wall shows remains of a rendered plinth.
