Description
The lychgate to the churchyard of the Church of St. Mary, built around 1919, is constructed from ashlar and wood. It features double wooden gates with some open tracery, flanked by single ashlar walls that are positioned at right angles to the gate. These walls rest on chamfered plinths and have moulded coping. Above the walls, there is open wooden framing that supports a gabled tile roof, which is adorned with a decorative ridge, scalloped barge boards, and two decorative pendant cross finials. Additionally, the structure includes two curved braces with a tie beam that is decorated with brattishing.
