Description
The Cottage, located south of the Wheel House and east of the Church, is a mid-18th century building that was later modified in 1801 and the 20th century. It is constructed of rendered brick and features a steeply pitched pantile roof with two rendered gable stacks. The cottage is a single storey with an attic and has a three-bay front, which includes an off-centre panelled door. To the right of the door is a single glazing bar sash window, and to the left is a plain sash window, both topped with segmental heads. Above the doorway, there is a lozenge-shaped datestone inscribed with 'AJL 1801'. The cottage also has two gabled wooden dormers, each containing a single casement window. To the left, there is a two-storey range from the 20th century. The Wheel House is not included in this listing.
