Description
The barn at Maisdyke House is a threshing barn with attached stables, dating from the late 18th century to the early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a pantile roof with brick coped gables and some tumbling, as well as dentillated eaves. There is a noticeable break in bonding between the single-storey, three-bay barn on the east side and the two-storey, three-bay stable range on the west side.
On the south side, there is a large carriage archway to the left with a segmental head and double plank doors. To the left of this archway is a doorway with a plain 20th-century door, and above it are two shuttered openings. The west gable end has a plank door with a wooden lintel and a segmental-headed shuttered opening above it. The north side also features a large carriage archway to the left with a segmental head and double plank doors, along with two shuttered openings above to the right.
