Description
The doorway and wall to the premises occupied by W K Morton and Sons date from 1792 and originally served as the Navigation Office, which was part of an effort to canalize the River Slea. This structure is now incorporated into a modern printing works. The doorway features sharply batted plain pilasters and a concave and roll moulded cornice beneath a triangular pediment, all made of ashlar. The wall to the north is constructed of stone, complete with stone coping and a pier at the northern end. This building forms a group with Nos 24 to 27, which are also of local interest.
