Description

This is a cottage dated 1804, and altered in the 20th century. It is located on the south side of Boston Road in Heckington. The cottage is built of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a pantiled roof featuring raised brick coped gables and two gable stacks. The front is a single storey, three-bay design with a dentillated eaves course. A 20th-century half-glazed door with a plain overlight sits centrally, above an ashlar datestone inscribed with the letters "TL" and the date "1804". It is flanked by single 20th-century plain top-hung casement windows with contemporary louvred shutters and segmental brick heads. To the left, a single-storey service range contains a planked door and a two-light sliding glazing bar sash window set under the eaves.
