Description
The Pea Rooms is a former pea sorting warehouse, now serving as a craft centre, built in 1890. It is constructed of red brick in English garden wall bond of three and features half hipped slate roofs. The building has a rectangular plan and stands four storeys tall with a four-bay front. The central entrance consists of double planked doors topped by a plain overlight, which is covered by a 20th-century flat wooden roof. On either side of the entrance are pairs of windows. The first and second floors each have five similar windows, all of which are margin light sashes with segmental brick heads. The third floor features three semi-circular headed fixed lights. The sides of the building have five margin light sashes, and above these are four low two-light top hung casements set beneath segmental brick arches.
