Description

Signalman's Cottage, built around 1850, is a one-and-a-half storey structure made of white brick with a slate ridge roof and a central brick chimney. The building has a cross plan and features three gable ends with barge boarding. The north front includes a semi-circular verandah supported by coupled wooden columns with decorative brackets, and above it, there is a small casement dormer window situated under a barge-boarded gablet. Many of the windows have been replaced in the 20th century.
