Description

Woodland Cottage is a mid-19th century building that stands two storeys tall and is constructed from coursed stone, which has been painted white. It features a Welsh slate roof with gables. The front of the cottage has a gable with one hung sash window with glazing bars positioned above a canted bay that contains three lights, all of which are hung sashes with glazing bars. On the left side, there is one blocked window above another hung sash window with glazing bars. The gable end also has one hung sash window with glazing bars situated above a similar window. Woodland Cottage, formerly known as Railway Cottage, is part of a group with the signal box nearby.
