Description

School House Nos 1 and 2 are a pair of cottages dating from the 17th century. They are constructed of brick with stone dressings and feature a pantile ridge roof, which has brick coped gables and a central chimney stack made up of four octagonal stacks of rubbed brick. The building is two stories high and has four bays. The front is symmetrical, with two outer casement windows, followed by two doorways with segmental heads and board doors, and then two larger sliding casements. The first floor has the same arrangement of smaller outer casements. All openings are framed with chamfered stone surrounds.
