Description
Rose Cottage is a building that was originally two cottages but is now in single ownership. It dates from the early 19th century and is constructed of brick in header and stretcher bond, featuring white headers. The cottage has a hipped pantile roof with a central brick chimney stack. It is two stories high and has four bays.
On the south side, there is a single entrance door, which is a six-panel door that is partially glazed. The original corresponding doorway on the south side has been replaced with a glazing bar sash window. There are two additional glazing bar sash windows between these openings. All ground floor openings have segment-headed arches with brick voussoirs. A brick band runs along the first floor, extending to the north and south over walls that contain single round-headed recesses. The first floor features four glazing bar sash windows with flat heads.
