Description

Forester's Cottage is an 18th-century brick cottage with pantile ridge roofs, located on the west side of Main Street in Doddington and Whisby. The building is double pile, two stories high, and has two bays. The east-facing doorway features a 20th-century board door and a 19th-century wooden porch with trellis work. There are two glazing bar sliding casements beneath brick segmental arches, and above them are two similar sliding casements with flat heads. The east front has two gables, with a single glazing bar sliding casement beneath a wooden lintel below, a small sash window to the south, and a sliding casement under a brick segmental arch to the north. The cottage also has a decorated brick eaves cornice.
