Description
No. 5 Lindum Road is a house, now used as offices, built in the mid-19th century with 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of brick with a stucco front and features a hipped concrete tile roof. The building has three storeys and three bays, with moulded cornices on the first and second floors, a modillion eaves band, and a plain parapet. Most of the windows are plain sashes.
On the east front, there is a set-back porch to the left, which has a round-headed doorway flanked by pilasters. Above this, there is a single sash window on each floor. To the right, there is a two-storey square bay window with three urns on the parapet and a tripartite sash window on each floor, with segmental heads on the lower windows. Above the bay, there are two additional sashes.
Inside, the main doorway features good late 19th-century stained glass flanking panels. The interior includes a dogleg staircase with winders and stick balusters, as well as reeded doorcases with cornices.
