Description

No. 14 Steep Hill is a house that now functions as both a residence and a shop. It dates from the mid-18th century, with alterations made in the mid-19th century and mid-20th century. The building is constructed of brick and features a pantile roof, with rebated eaves and a single brick coped gable. It stands two storeys high, plus attics, and consists of two bays. The shopfront, which is from the 20th century, includes two windows with glazing bars and a half-glazed door on the right. Above the shopfront, there is a sliding sash window and a larger plain sash window, both topped with segmental heads. Above these, there are two dormers with segmental heads that contain casement windows. The interior has not been inspected.
