Description

No. 37 on Steep Hill is a house and shop built in the mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features a slate roof with a side wall stack. The building has three storeys and consists of a single bay. The shopfront is painted brick and includes a moulded four-panel door with an overlight on the left, and a six-pane shop window on the right. Both the door and window have splayed lintels, with the shop window also featuring a keystone. Above the shopfront, there is a mid-19th century canted wooden oriel window with a cornice and plain sashes, and above that, a single plain sash window. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value.
