Description
No. 3 Castle Hill is a house that has been converted into a house and shop. It was built in the early 19th century, with some additions made in the mid-19th century. The building is constructed of brick with stucco fronts and features a hipped slate roof with a single gable and stacks on the side walls. It has a plinth, rounded corners, and moulded eaves. The structure is three storeys high and has two bays.
The north front includes a central bow window that has a cornice and triple glazing bar sashes. Above this, there is a canted bay window from the 19th century with plain sashes, and further up, a segment-headed glazing bar sash. The right side of the building, facing Drury Lane, features a 20th-century pedimented doorcase with a part-glazed six-panel door and a sash window. Above this door, to the right, is a 19th-century round-headed window and another sash window, with all sashes having glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected.
