Description
The Castle Hill Club is a house that has been converted into a club. It dates from the mid-18th century and has had some alterations in the 19th century. The building is constructed of brick and features a pantile roof, with two gable stacks and a single ridge stack. It has dentilled eaves and a brick-coped east gable with kneelers. The structure is two storeys tall, plus attics, and is arranged in an L-shape with five unequal bays.
On the north front, there is an off-centre plain wooden doorcase with an overlight and a six-panel door. To the left of the door, there is a 19th-century three-light window with wooden mullions and transoms, followed by a glazing bar sash. To the right of the door, there is an altered segment-headed sash window. Above the door, there are three glazing bar sashes with moulded wood surrounds. The east gable, which faces Drury Lane, features a segment-headed sash window on each floor and a casement window in the garret. The south gable is rendered and has a segment-headed window on each floor, also with wooden mullions and transoms. The interior has not been inspected.
