GV II

2 houses, now a restaurant. C17 and early C19, with late C19 and C20 alterations. Stone, with brick front, mainly rendered and pebbledashed, and whitewashed. Plain tile roof with 2 brick gable stacks. Wooden gutters. 2 storeys plus attics, 2 bays. To left, a C20 half-glazed door, flanked to right by a shop window with wooden mullions and transoms and cornice. To right, a larger glazing bar shop window with pilasters and cornice, flanked to left by a blocked doorway and to right by a C20 door. Above, to left, a canted wooden oriel window, mid C19, and to right, a 3-light sliding sash. Above again, 2 segment headed dormers, with a sliding sash to left and a casement to right. INTERIOR has to north a large C17 ashlar fireplace, restored, with wooden bressumer and C18 brick hood. C18 brick chimney to south. Roof mainly renewed late C20.
