Description
Numbers 2, 3, and 4 on The Strait are three houses that have been converted into two shops. They date from the late 18th century and early 19th century. The buildings are constructed of brick and topped with slate roofs, featuring two gable stacks and one ridge stack. The eaves are decorated with dentils. The structure is two storeys high and consists of four bays, with the right bay projecting.
On the right, there are two 19th-century wooden shopfronts, each supported by pilasters, featuring a half-glazed door and a two-light window beneath a corniced fascia. To the left, there is a similar shopfront that includes an additional door on the left, all under a shared fascia. Above the shopfronts, there are three segment-headed glazing bar sashes, and above those, three smaller glazing bar sashes along with a 20th-century casement, all with segmental heads. The interior has not been inspected.
