No 1 Market Place is an early 19th-century building located on the north side of Market Place. It stands three storeys tall and is constructed of stucco with a modern tile roof. The ground floor features late 19th-century shop windows. The building has nine sash windows set in reveals, some of which include glazing bars. The first floor is rusticated and has keystones above the windows, with cornices on consoles for alternate windows.
