Description
The Old Goods Shed is a former goods shed, now used as a warehouse, built in the mid-19th century for the Great Northern Railway. It is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof with stone coped gables and brick corbelled kneelers. The building is single storey with a five-bay side front, which includes semi-circular recessed arches that contain cast iron fanlight windows with ashlar cills. In the gable end, there are two tall planked double doors with separate leaves that have semi-circular heads and wrought iron strap hinges.
